Four steps to your first round

1. 01

   Sign in

   Open the Members Portal and enter your member number (it looks like CG-0001) and your password — both come from the Tournament Office. You land on your dashboard, with four tabs along the bottom of the screen.

   If you've a round on the go, it's the first thing there with a Resume card button. Below that: your handicap, what's next on your calendar, and your last result.

   Your handicap is held by the club and is applied automatically. If it's wrong, ask the office to update it before you enter — see Worth knowing for why the timing matters.

   Get into a competition

   Tap Play to see every competition you're already in. To join one you're not in yet, you'll need its six-character invite code — type it into the box and press Find (case doesn't matter) and you're taken straight to it; press Enter this competition to join.

   Running your own? New competition takes a name, a course, a date and a format. You get an invite code to share, and you're entered automatically.

   Score your round

   Press Start my round. Tap your score on each hole and the card moves on by itself. There is no save button — every tap is stored as you go. Once a round is under way the Play tab goes straight back to your card, from wherever you are in the app.

   Tap The field at the top of the card to see how everyone else is doing without leaving your place in it. It updates on the same twenty-second refresh as the leaderboard.

   When all holes are in, Sign card appears. Signing is final — the card locks. Check it over first; if a hole turns out wrong, the organiser has to reopen it for you.

4. 04

   Watch the leaderboard

   Open the leaderboard from the competition at any point. It refreshes every twenty seconds, so you can leave it open between shots and watch the field come in. Your own row is highlighted, and a Signed tag marks anyone whose card is in.

The four tabs

Once you're signed in the portal works like an app rather than a website: four tabs along the bottom on a phone, the same four in the bar at the top on a laptop. Wherever you are, they take you straight there.

Home

Your dashboard — a round in progress, your handicap, what's next, and your last result.

Play

Competitions: join one, start one, follow a leaderboard. While a round is under way this jumps to your card instead, so it's one tap back to scoring from anywhere.

Every card you've signed, newest first.

The bar at the very top names the screen you're on. When you've gone a level deeper — into a competition, onto your card — a back arrow appears on its left.

Your card, hole by hole

The bar across the top

Running totals for the holes you've actually entered — holes played, gross strokes, how you stand against par, and your points. It updates on every tap.

“SI 1” and “+1 shot”

SI is the stroke index — hole 1 is the hardest on the course, 18 the easiest. Where your handicap earns you a shot, the card says so. Off 18 you get one on every hole; off 8, only on the eight hardest.

The number pad

Tap your gross score. The small label underneath shows it against par, so you're not counting in your head. Tapped the wrong number? Tap the same one again to clear it, or use Clear hole.

Scroll down for all eighteen holes at a glance. Tap any hole to jump straight back to it — useful when you agree a correction on the next tee.

A useful anchor: 36 points means you played exactly to your handicap. Anything above that is a good day.

Reading the leaderboard

Positions and ties

Players level with each other share a place, shown as T2. The next player takes the position they'd have had anyway — two tied second are followed by fourth.

Thru

How many holes that player has entered. Someone on 20 points through 9 isn't ahead of someone on 30 through 18 — the board accounts for it, and a player yet to start sits at the bottom rather than the top.

The Teams tab

Appears only if the organiser turned on team scoring. Each team counts its best few scores — the board tells you how many and who is currently counting.

Refreshing

Every twenty seconds while the page is in front of you. It pauses when your screen is off and catches up when you come back, so it isn't draining your battery in your pocket.

After the round

Your rounds

Once a competition wraps up, the round lands in My rounds — every card you've signed, newest first, with your gross and net, your points or score to par, and where you finished. A points trend across your last rounds sits at the top, and your average and best are alongside it. It's linked from your dashboard and the Rounds tab.

Setup

Put it on your home screen

Worth doing before your first round. It opens full screen with no address bar and no browser chrome — just the tabs and your card, with the taps landing where you put them.

You need a signal to enter scores

Scores save as you tap, so a hole won't record in a dead spot. If you lose service, keep the card on paper and enter the holes when you're back in range — nothing already saved is lost.

Your handicap is fixed when you enter

It's copied onto your entry the moment you join, so a later change doesn't rewrite a round you've already played. Get it corrected before you enter, not after.

You can only edit your own card

Every player enters their own scores. If you're playing as a group, each of you keeps your own card on your own phone.

Signing is final

Once you sign your card it locks, and so does the competition once the organiser closes it. Look it over before you sign — after that, only the organiser can reopen it for a correction.

Withdrawing

There's a Withdraw link on the competition page. It takes you off the leaderboard but doesn't delete what you've entered, so you can be put back in if it was a mistake.

Competitions are private

Nothing here is public. A competition is only visible to signed-in members, and the invite code is what you share to bring people in.
